GuideBrake
Intended use:
W+W GuideBrake is a load-carrying equipment and is used exclusively for temporary suspension of the car or the counterweight.
The reason for this for example is the simple replacement of ropes or a piston packing.
The W+W GuideBrake is attached to the guide rails at the same height on both sides.
The chain hoists can then be hooked in and the load on the car or counterweight can be relieved.
This makes mounting work considerably easier, for example when replacing the lift ropes.
Maximum load per rail clamp 2500 kg, total 5000 kg.
All parts of the W+W GuideBrake are supplied in a handy case.
Maintenance or repair work can be carried out quickly and safely.

Description
Scope of delivery:
- 2x GuideBrake with insert for rail width 12-22mm
- 2x Insert for rail widths 5-12mm

Conditions of use:
- Before use, the GuideBrake must be checked for externally recognisable defects and functionality.
- The teeth of the clamping chamber must be sharp.
- The GuideBrake may only be mounted on guide rails for the car and/or counterweight.
- Check in advance whether the rails are suitable for the vertical load (applies in particular to the
- counterweight).
- Max. load 2500kg per side / 5000kg in total.
- Overloading due to uneven load distribution is not permitted (use aids if necessary).
- The GuideBrake may only be loaded statically (no impulse force, e.g. catch impact).
- Additional safety measures are required.
- Before restarting the installation, both clamping chambers must be completely removed.
